The redesigned myPrevent Portal brings a streamlined experience for ordering, tracking, and managing genetic tests—but with new features come new questions. Whether you’re setting up your account, searching for orders, or submitting time-sensitive prenatal tests, this FAQ is here to help.

Getting Started

How do I confirm my new account?

Enter the confirmation code from the email you receive after sign-up. Replying to the email does not activate your account. Confirming using the code is required.

I never got a confirmation e-mail. What should I do?

Some organizations have cybersecirty protocols in place that can block emails coming into an organization.  Adding reports@preventiongenetics.com, support@preventiongenetics.com, and no-reply@preventiongenetics.com to your safe sender list can help prevent these emails from being blocked. These emails deliver password resets, ticket and report notifications.

 

Do I need an Ordering Institution now before submitting an order?

Yes. An Ordering Institution is now required and can be added to your account settings. The Ordering Institution is pre-populated from this information during the ordering process. Orders cannot be submitted without an Ordering Institution.

Tracking Orders

Where did the single-page view go for the dashboard?

To reduce the need to scroll, the myPrevent dashboard now uses tabs—Drafts, Submitted, Testing in Progress, Completed—instead of a single page with accordions.

How do I search my orders in the tabbed dashboard layout?

Enter your search term in the field above the tab. The search then filters results within the active tab and displays counts of how many times that search term appears within each tab.

 

Colleagues & Providers

My providers didn’t carry over—what should I do?

The portal introduced new provider categories: Ordering Provider, Primary Point of Contact, and Additional Report Recipient.

How do I share orders or reports?

Enable sharing in your settings (e.g., “Share All Orders”). Once configured, colleagues will see your orders and reports in their dashboards.

Prenatal Ordering

Do I still need to upload the Prenatal Attestation?

No. Checking the Prenatal box now serves as your attestation—no separate upload required.

 

Should I still call before submitting a prenatal order?

Yes. Please call to confirm acceptance and allow the lab to track time-sensitive samples.

 

Is MCC (maternal cell contamination) available on any test?

No. MCC can only be ordered on prenatal tests in the portal now.

 

Re-analysis

How do I request re-analysis now?

The process for ordering re-analysis is unchanged in the redesigned portal.

Reports & Notifications

Where do I find completed reports?

Reports appear under the Completed tab. If you don’t see expected entries, confirm sharing and provider settings. Click on View Report to download the completed report.

New reports are also available in the Unread Reports section in the upper left of the dashboard. Once viewed, the report will disappear from that section but will still be available in the Completed tab.
