Who is this test for?
  • Individuals with relevant features who have a clinical or suspected diagnosis of alpha thalassemia
  • Individuals with HPLC or capillary electrophoresis showing Hb patterns consistent with HbH or Hb Bart
  • Reproductive partners of individuals with a known pathogenic variant in the HBA1 or HBA2 genes
