How to order custom panels
An easy way to focus on the genes you want most
Customizable tests to fit your patients' needs
We are pleased to offer custom panels, which are exome or genome based and completely customizable to fit your patients' specific needs. Tests run on either platform include copy number variant (CNV) analysis via NGS data and our 'Enhance' feature provides supplementary Sanger sequencing where NGS read depth is insufficient. Our test menu also offers >330 predefined gene sequencing panels to choose from, so before you start a custom panel order, be sure to search our existing menu.

Choose platform
Determine whether your custom panel will be ordered on a genome or exome platform.

Start building
There are several easy ways to build your panel. Search for a specific gene or phenotype, add your own gene list, or find a starter panel to build off of.

Enhance genes
Make sure to select if you’d like any or all genes enhanced. The 'Enhance' feature provides supplementary Sanger sequencing where NGS read depth is insufficient. As you build, the genes included in your panel will appear at the bottom of the page. Genes highlighted in purple are those that have been enhanced.

Select order options
Choose the family structure (patient only, duo, or trio) and note if the test is prenatal.

Review order
Once your gene list is complete and you've selected your order option, you're ready to complete your order.

Complete order
Continue to completing your order with our online portal, myPrevent, or add patient information and print a paper copy.
