PreventionGenetics' Virtual 2020 Booth

Welcome to PreventionGenetics' Virtual ACMG 2020 Booth

Since many conferences understandably had to cancel their 2020 meetings due to COVID-19, PreventionGenetics' invites you to visit our virtual booth! It's not the same as getting to see and interact with our team in person but we hope you enjoy this online experience with us.

New Developments

Rapid PGxome
Getting results fast is important for managing acutely ill patients. At PreventionGenetics, we offer comprehensive genetic testing options that allow patients to receive the answers they need quickly. This includes our Rapid PGxome® test—whole exome sequencing (WES) test—and Neonatal Crisis (NICU) panel. Both tests have an expedited average turnaround time of 14 days.

Prenatal PGxome
PreventionGenetics is pleased to offer a full menu of prenatal genetic tests, including whole exome sequencing - Prenatal PGxome®. Because of the urgent nature of prenatal testing, we have expedited turnaround times, Prenatal PGxome results are reported within 14 days. Our prenatal testing is diagnostic and requires specific criteria for testing such as abnormal ultrasound findings or a known familial variant. For all prenatal tests, a signed Healthcare Provider’s Statement is required.

Exome-Wide CNV Analysis
We have demonstrated through our validation studies that CNV detection via exome sequencing is at least as sensitive and often more sensitive than CMA. This newer option (Exome-Wide CNV Analysis) provides the opportunity to bypass standard CMA testing and test patients for both sequencing variants and CNVs in a single test, leading to lower costs and reduced turnaround time.

Comprehensive Autism Spectrum Disorders and Intellectual Disability (ASD-ID) Genetic Testing
Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASDs) and Intellectual Disability (ID) are a heterogeneous group of neurodevelopmental disorders that are inherited in a multifactorial fashion. Heritability estimates range between 50-90% for ASDs and 15-50% for ID. With an extensive list of genes that are associated with ASD-ID phenotypes, PreventionGenetics’ ASD-ID comprehensive panel is the best alternative to whole exome sequencing. Through work with collaborators and frequent panel updates, the ASD-ID comprehensive panel includes genes at the forefront of autism and intellectual disability research.

Chat with Our Team
While you weren't able to talk with our team in person this year, we want you to know that the PreventionGenetics team can always be reached at support@preventiongenetics.com. We would still love to provide additional information on our comprehensive genetic test menu, set up demonstrations on our services (e.g. how to order a Custom Panel), or arrange a one-on-one digital discussion with an Account Representative.

The health and safety of our employees and customers is our highest priority. We are focused on supporting our clients and their patients during this difficult time. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact us. Stay safe, and we look forward to seeing you soon.
